DC Regional Champions!

3/30/2014

Congrats to TechFire for the HUGE win at this past weekend's event!  After a nearly undefeated run in the qualification matches, 225 emerged as #1 seed and created an awesome alliance with teams 1731 Fresta Valley Robotics and 4464 Team Illusion.  These teams went in to the eliminations matches with confidence and could not be stopped, finishing the weekend as the Greater DC Area Regional Champions.  As regional winner, this alliance is now qualified for the 2014 FIRST World Championships in St. Louis, MO.

TechFire was also honored to receive the Creativity Award sponsored by Xerox.  This award
celebrates creative design in process, execution, or via a creative or unique strategy of play. It's focused on a feature or features of the machine or development process.

Team 225 is grateful for our sponsors whose support allowed the team to attend this additional regional competition.  We would also like to thank DC First Robotics for hosting this event.  It was great to meet new friends and play with teams from areas outside of the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Next up is the Mid-Atlantic Robotics Regional event on A
pril 10 – April 12, then it's on to St. Louis.  Keep the FIRE burning 225!
